Picasso’s Influence opens at the Charles E. Gagnon Museum & Sculpture Garden, on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 1 p.m. Two signed original Picasso lithographs (1953, 1961) of Peace Doves influenced Charles E. Gagnon’s creation of bronze sculptures of flight, peace, religion, and dance. The exhibition is comprised of seven sculptures, which uplift the human spirit. Picasso worked in paint and Gagnon worked in bronze, yet each explored and created original works of art on themes they loved. Arlyn Gagnon will give a gallery talk at 1:30 p.m. followed by refreshments and a film on Picasso and his work (1938-1953) at 2:30 p.m.
Picasso’s Influence closes on December 15, 2019. Reservations can be made online for the October 19th opening. It is free to attend, but tickets are limited to 50.
