Rachael Denhollander gained international recognition in 2016 as the first woman to speak publicly against USA Gymnastics’ team physician, Dr. Larry Nassar, one of the most prolific sexual abusers in recorded history. As a result of her disclosure, more than 300 women came forward with reports of Nassar’s abuse, triggering his conviction and life sentence for his crimes. 

Now an attorney, author, advocate, and educator, Denhollander’s grasp of legal issues, corporate ethics, effective leadership strategies, and investigative practices are coupled with trauma-informed, deeply compassionate sensitivity bridges the gap between survivors and the society and institutions that may have failed them. Her understanding of legal issues is enhanced by her courage and conviction to “pursue justice and protect the innocent.” 

Publishing her autobiography, What is a Girl Worth? My Story of Breaking the Silence and Exposing the Truth About Larry Nassar and USA Gymnastics in 2019, Denhollander later authored children’s books entitled How Much is a Little Girl Worth?, How Much is a Little Boy Worth?, and Discover Your True Worth. 

Rachael Denhollander was named one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” and one of Glamour Magazine’s “Women of the Year” in 2018. She received the “Inspiration of the Year” award from Sports Illustrated and received ESPN’s “Arthur Ashe Courage Award” along with other survivors of the USA Gymnastics sexual abuse scandal. She has appeared on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX News, BBC, PBS, and NPR and lectured at both the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. She regularly appears in national and international print media including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and The Washington Post. 

Rachael Denhollander lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband, Jacob, and their four young children.
