A Night on the Farm is Common Good City Farm’s signature event. Delicious dishes from local restaurants, using produce from the farm, are served. Libations from local breweries and distilleries flow. Held annually, the event gathers people to celebrate another year of growing healthy food and cultivating community.
This year's event will feature chefs from local restaurant favorites including Big Bear Cafe, ANXO, Moreland's Tavern, and Roofer's Union, as well as beer from DC Brau, wine from Lubanzi, and cocktails courtesy of One Eight Distilling.
All proceeds from the event will be used to support Common Good City Farm’s programs.
**All guests must be at least 21 years of age.**
What should I wear?
There is no requirement for cocktail dress, but some people like to be fancy. Please dress comfortably to be out on the farm at night. It might be warm, it might be chilly, but we want you to be comfortable.
What kinds of foods might there be?
We leave it to the chefs to surprise us with their creations! In the past we've had butternut squash tacos, duck meatballs, pawpaw ice cream, minestrone, and many more amazing creations!
I can't find a babysitter--can I bring my kids?
Unfortunately not. As stated on our liquor license for the event, this is a 21+ party. However, it's a great opportunity to get some adult time without staying out too late.
Will there be bugs?
Probably. It's rarely cold enough in early October to be finished with mosquitoes, but we'll have bug spray on hand for those who want it.
What happens to the money raised by the event?
100% of the ticket sales, minus the transaction fees, are allocated to Common Good City Farm's budget. We use the funds to grow food for our community that we sell at a subsidized rate, hold youth and adult education programs, host free, open community events and more!
