Floral designer and sustainable flower farmer Ariella Chezar will offer a floral design demonstration the eve of Dewey Hall's first ever Dahlia Festival. Ariella has done flowers for events throughout the world. She has written three books, and been featured in numerous articles. Her free flowing organic style has had an influence across the event world. Her books are: "Flowers for the Table", "Seasonal Flower Arranging", and "The Flower Workshop". Chezar's Zonneveld Farm is located in Columbia County.

This evening will feature a floral demonstration by Chezar, and will include a celebration of the Dahlia. An arrangement/s will be auctioned off (Sunday, September 17) at the Dahlia Festival with Flowers from Ariella's Farm. Winners to be announced around 3:30.

The workshop, auction, and all other Dahlia Festival activities go to support the operation and preservation of the historic Dewey Hall, a center for culture and community in Sheffield, MA.
