Attendees will explore California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP), which promotes greater choice and control over regional center services, enabling people to tailor supports to their unique needs and preferences.

The event will also highlight Supported Decision-Making (SDM), a new California law that offers an alternative to conservatorship. SDM helps individuals with disabilities select trusted supporters who assist them in understanding, making, and communicating decisions about their lives—fostering autonomy and respect.
