We are delighted to announce that The Drawing Center’s 2020 Benefit Gala will take place on Monday, April 27 at The Caldwell Factory, located at 547 West 26th Street in New York City. This year’s event promises to be a brilliant celebration of both the medium of drawing and those who are passionate about it.
Each year, through the generosity of our guests, The Drawing Center’s Benefit Gala continues to be the leading fundraiser in support of our organization. We are absolutely thrilled that the 2020 Gala will honor three exceptional individuals with their own unique relationships to our field. These include the curator, prolific drawing collector, and President of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation, Jack Shear; award-winning novelist, essayist, critic, and professor of fiction at New York University, Zadie Smith; and the Los Angeles-based artist Henry Taylor – an extraordinary and inveterate draftsman.
Please know that we are so grateful
for your generous support, and look forward to celebrating with you on April
27, 2020. We hope you can join us for what we know will be a memorable evening!
Those who purchase two tickets to the event or contribute $3,000 or more to The Drawing Center by February 17, 2020 will be listed on the event invitation as members of our Benefit Committee.
