FREE. This event is for anyone interested in learning more about compost and especially those who are interested in community compost. We will cover vermiculture, hot composting and community compost management. We will be constructing compost piles and gaining hands-on experience. Lunch provided. 

Compost is the perfect garden soil amendment. A good compost will balance soil texture, add an abundance of microbial life to the soil, and increase water holding capacity. Compost does all of this and is also the perfect DIY way to recycle household yard and kitchen scraps.
