An evening of music to raise funds for El Porvenir: Water. Life. Future.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with El Porvenir, it’s an NGO working in Nicaragua to bring clean water, safe sanitation, and healthy watersheds to rural communities. Their focus is practical, low-overhead projects that have true impacts on the lives and health of hardworking people.

At the event we’ll have a presentation of Latin American music with stories and some information about the work of El Porvenir. Performing will be Voz y Cuerdas, made up of Noemi and Russell Danao-Schroeder who spent over a decade in Nicaragua where they met, married, and began making music together. Noemi is member of the El Porvenir Board of Directors who pledged to help fundraise this year by performing house concerts across the country. 

We hope you can join us. And while donations are welcome they are not required. We’ll provide tacos and snacks -  for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores - and some beer, wine and NA choices. Feel free to bring anything else you might like.

Our home is at 1645 Bruce Court in Los Angeles, 90026 - parking is limited so using ride share might be a good idea. If you come by ride share it’s easiest to have them drop you at the corner of Sargent Place and Bruce Court and walk into our cul de sac. Please don’t park across the street from our neighbors' driveways - the street is narrow and they need room to pull out. 

Note that unfortunately the house is not wheelchair accessible - there’s a flight of stairs to get inside.
