A coalition of community partners promoting peace and supporting immigrant families facing financial hardships due to recent Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agency escalations, proudly present Jazz For Justice, a concert featuring the Jim Clark Trio and Walter Custodio’s Band.
A world-class saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist who performs in small local venues to Carnegie Hall, Mr. Clark is joined by Chris Coogan on keyboards and John Mobilio on bass.
Recognized as the Ambassador of Peruvian Music in the United States, Walter Custodio (percussion) has played with renowned artists in his native Peru and founded the tropical music band Caribe Son.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Ark of Noah Fund, an agency distributing funds directly to immigrant families facing financial hardship due to the detention of a household member by ICE. 100% of funds raised from residents of Fairfield County and from this concert will be distributed to their neighbors in Fairfield County. Co-sponsors are the Emerson Hall Foundation, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Comite por la Paz, GraceWorks, Stamford Norwalk United with Immigrants, the Interfaith Council of Southwestern Connecticut, Indivisible Stamford, J&Rosa Construction, Envivo con Maricarmen, and La Voz Hispana.
