Welcome to the 4th annual Turkey Plunge!!

The 2026 Turkey Plunge will be at Schoonmaker (Sausalito) Beach at 85 Liberty Ship Way in Sausalito on Thanksgiving Day. 

Arrive by 9:45 am to park and get ready to plunge into the ocean at 10:00 am. We’ll have pastries 🍩 and hot coffee ️ ☕️ waiting for all the brave swimmers. 

You’ll have plenty of time to warm up, dry off, and get home to start your Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy the day with the people you love

Since 1972, Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) has been making the joy and challenge of the outdoors accessible to everyone.  We’ve guided over 115,000 participants-including youth from under-resourced backgrounds and individuals with mobility, vision, and developmental disabilities on life-changing sea kayaking, backpacking, and rafting trips.

Our adventures do more than just get people outside; they build unstoppable self-confidence, deep connections to nature, and a passion for environmental stewardship. We do it all alongside a vibrant community of 250+ volunteers and 110 partner agencies and schools.
