Classicopia returns to Fairlee Town Hall for another thrilling chamber music concert entitled "THE FOLK CELLO," featuring South African cellist Jacques-Pierre Malan and pianist/Artistic Director Daniel Weiser.  The program will highlight the various folk influences in music for cello and piano, including the passionate Cello Sonata by Edvard Grieg filled with Norwegian tunes; Piazzolla’s amazing Le Grand Tango; and the little known, but very exciting, Five Pieces on Georgian Folk Themes by Sulkhan Tsintsadze.   All the pieces are powerful, intense, rhythmic, and filled with beautiful and memorable melodies.  Malan has performed around the world and is currently the Artistic Program Coordinator for the Embassy Series, which aims to unite people through musical diplomacy through regular performances at embassies from all over the world.  Dr. Weiser is a former Artistic Ambassador of Music and has performed in over 20 different countries.  You will not want to miss this concert!
