What is a 50/50 Raffle?

A 50/50 raffle is a fundraising event where the total money raised is split equally between a winner and the organization holding the raffle. Participants purchase tickets, and the winner takes 50% of the total ticket sales as a cash prize, while the remaining 50% goes to the organization. 

How it Works:

1. Purchase the number of tickets you would like. Each ticket is one entry.
2. Ticket sales end on May 18, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
3. All ticket sales will be totaled to determine the cash prize (50% of what is raised).
   
4. Familias en Acción will do a randomized drawing to select the winner on May 20, 2026.
5. The winner be notified by email immediately. We will request a W-9 and mailing address. 
6. A check will be mailed to the winner no later than June 15th.

¿Qué es una rifa 50/50?

Una rifa 50/50 es un evento de recaudación de fondos donde el dinero recaudado se divide equitativamente entre el ganador y la organización que realiza la rifa. Los participantes compran boletos y el ganador se lleva el 50% de la venta total de boletos como premio en efectivo, mientras que el 50% restante se destina a la organización.

Cómo funciona:

1. Compre la cantidad de boletos que desee. Cada boleto equivale a una entrada.
2. La venta de boletos finaliza el 18 de mayo de 2025 a las 11:59 p.m.
3. Se sumarán todas las ventas de boletos para determinar el premio en efectivo (el 50 % de lo recaudado).
4. Familias en Acción realizará un sorteo aleatorio para seleccionar al ganador el 20 de mayo de 2026.
5. Se notificará al ganador por correo electrónico de inmediato. Le solicitaremos un formulario W-9 y una dirección postal.
6. Se enviará un cheque por correo al ganador a más tardar el 15 de junio.
