Tequihua Self Defense is a welcoming space dedicated to empowering women through practical self-defense and martial arts. Named after the Nahuatl word for “brave and courageous warrior,” Tequihua Self Defense empowers women to feel strong and capable in their bodies. This 90-minute class offers hands-on, scenario-based self-defense training using a mixed martial arts approach. Participants will learn life-saving tools for real-world situations in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. 

This program is open to women of all ages, sizes, and experience levels—no prior training required. Come ready to move, learn, laugh, and leave feeling stronger and more empowered.   

When: October 28th, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Where: 511 St. Charles Rd., Maywood, IL, 60153. Plenty of free parking along St. Charles Rd.
