Join us for a night of laughs and raise money for the Fort Mill Community Playhouse at the same time! Marty Simpson is making his Fort Mill debut at Lifepointe and all proceeds of the show will go towards the Fort Mill Community Playhouse's routine upkeep, our goal of purchasing a permanent space, and our upcoming season in 2023. The show will be hosted by Chris Ruppe, and a surprise opening act will be announced closer to the show!

Grab tickets for a great date night or fun holiday gift for a loved one, and support a long-standing community arts space.

Marty Simpson's comedy has been featured on ESPN, B.E.T., Nickelodeon, and his award-winning special Clean if it Kills Me is available to stream on multiple platforms and his DryBar Comedy special can be seen at DryBarComedy.com/martys. He's performed on 3 different continents. He was a finalist in the 2017 Trial By Laughter and was named a festival favorite at Big Pine Comedy Festival. He won the 2012 Clean Comedy Challenge. His comedy is shaped, not only by his 25+ years of marriage and two children, but also his 10 years as a head high school football coach (and drama teacher!). He says every fall, he simply acted  like the football coach. To our knowledge, Marty is the only person ever to coach their high school football team all the way to the State Championship in the fall, and then direct and produce The Importance of Being Earnest to sold-out crowds in the spring!

Chris Ruppe entertains with a southern charm. He has a remarkable ability to relate with the audience, share unique observations about life, and deliver hilarious stories.

Over the years Chris has been performing for corporate clients, theatres, churches, comedy clubs, and charity events. He has performed the audience warm-up for The Huckabee Show, and was a finalist at the National Clean Comedy Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee, Laugh USA competition, and The Comedy Battle in Charlotte, NC.

Chris grew up with deaf parents and shares some of the unusual adventures from his childhood. Chris is married and has four children. He and his wife have a heart for adoption and started a foundation that raises funds to assist families with adoption expenses (Metrolina Adoption Fund).
