Join us on the morning of Saturday, August 17th for our 2019 Community Paddle Fundraiser!
Once again, members of the Found in Translation community will take to the calm, scenic waters of the upper Charles River and fundraise to support our next class of medical interpreters.
This year's kayak excursion will depart from the historic Newton Boathouse, and feature stunning views of the historic Lakes District of the Charles, a six-mile stretch of flatwater with little current. This section of river, which is largely bordered by parkland and forest, was once a haven for canoeists looking to escape the city — and is again today!
Proceeds from this fundraiser make it possible for the next class of bilingual women to become medical interpreters, turning their language skills into professional success and economic security.
We ask for a fundraising commitment of at least $350, and we encourage you to raise as much as you can. The top fundraisers will receive prizes. Of course, you can make a donation in support of yourself, and that counts towards your fundraising goal.
BEFORE JULY 19th - $40 for adults, $25 for children under 12
