Free Geek is hosting our annual Block Party! This Block Party is a hyper-inclusive event in Southeast Portland at our headquarters supporting Free Geek's community as well as the PDX-local community at large. Get ready for local live music, small business booths, food trucks, activities with SCRAP, food from Erica's Soul Food, in-person screen printing, a tech donation station, a raffle with incredible prizes & so much more to be announced in the upcoming weeks!

There will be TONS of great raffle prizes including a night's stay at Jupiter Hotel, perfume from Imaginary Authors, a bag of skincare goods from Mad Hippie, art from local artists Wokeface and Paper Puffin, tattoo certificate for Lombard Street Tattoo, climbing classes from Portland Rock Gym, lots of great event tickets from local venues, spa and manicure treatments and much much more!! This event will raise funds for the general operating expenses of Free Geek, allowing us to continue providing necessary community services that help some of our most vulnerable populations gain the digital access they need to succeed in life.

Free Geek’s mission is to sustainably reuse technology, enable digital access, and provide education to create a community that empowers people to realize their potential. Our organization collects over a million pounds of e-waste each year, which our staff and volunteers refurbish into thousands of items of technology, over 75,000 of which were donated back into our community through our 22 years as an organization. We serve a diverse audience including many people with disabilities, low income, youth of all backgrounds, native Spanish and other speakers, immigrant populations, LGBTQ people, and many other underserved communities.
