Freedom’s Frontier NHA will hold its next partner meeting on Monday, May 19 at the Johnson County Museum in Overland Park, KS from 1-4pm.

The meeting's program will focus on emergency management and disaster preparations. Our 3 speakers are Anne Jones, Curator of Collections at the Johnson Co. Museum, Whitney Baker, Head of Conservation Services for the University of Kansas Libraries, and Marye Newman, Museum Manager of Gladstone, MO/Atkins-Johnson Farm. They will be discussing their experiences and providing best practices for implementing mitigation strategies. There will also be time for questions, networking, tours, and snacks.

The meeting space opens at 12:45 p.m. The program will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Please note: A catered lunch is not planned for this meeting. The deadline to guarantee seating is Wednesday, May 14.

Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) is dedicated to building awareness of the struggles for freedom in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. These diverse, interwoven, and nationally important stories grew from a unique physical and cultural landscape. FFNHA inspires respect for multiple perspectives and empowers residents to preserve and share these stories. We achieve our goals through interpretation, preservation, conservation, and education for all residents and visitors.
