Meet acclaimed Oakland author Nancy Davis Kho at the historic First Unitarian Church in Oakland. Davis Kho is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Washington PostSan Francisco ChronicleUS MagazineThe Rumpus and The Toast. She covers the years between being hip and breaking one on her award-winning Midlife Mixtape blog and companion podcast. 

Her most recent project is The Thank-You Project: Cultivating Happiness One letter of Gratitude at a Time, which tells the story of the year she wrote thank-you letters to 50 people, places, and pastimes that had shaped her, inspired her and helped her become the person she is.

Enjoy wine, refreshments and a tour of the historic First Unitarian Church. See the room where Jack London held his wedding reception and tour the sanctuary, featuring Tiffany windows and a beautiful ceiling made from redwood trees from the Oakland Hills.
