Description

Want to know more about the trees in your neighborhood? Learn basic tree identification skills with Tree Pittsburgh staff by investigating tree shape/ form, bark, leaves, fruits, and more. Join us for an evening walk through Riverview Park and we'll introduce you to some Remarkable Trees.

Meeting Point:

Riverview Park: Riverview Park: We will meet outside of the Riverview Visitors Center. The visitor’s center is located at the entrance to Riverview Park if you enter near the Byzantine Catholic Seminary. This is also the entrance used to access the Allegheny Observatory on the hill. You can find the visitors center on google maps HERE. If you need to enter a GPS address; use 66 Riverview Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15214. (This is not the visitor’s center address but will get you very close to us.) Continue to walk towards the park entrance and you will find us standing outside.

Space is limited to 15 participants. 2 tickets max per registration. Register early to avoid disappointment.

This 2 hour walk is geared for adults and not appropriate for children under 16.  Pets aren't allowed - sorry!  Be sure to dress for the weather in footwear suitable for off-path (lawn/ grass) and road walking.  Expect to cover 1-2 miles over sloping terrain.
