Join us for our 3rd Galentine’s virtual cooking event, Galentine’s Brunch for Dinner!  

This year, we’ve partnered with Masa Madre—a Chicago-based, Latina-owned business—to host a virtual babka-making class.

During the 60-minute Zoom event, we’ll learn to make, shape, and bake chocolate babka—the perfect centerpiece for a brunch-themed dinner party or breakfast through the weekend!

General Admission - $60
Please note that you only need one ticket per screen.
You’ll receive an entry to the Zoom room for the class and a babka recipe—but it won't be Masa Madre's, because we can't give away their secrets!

Admission + Babka Kit - $175 
You’ll receive an entry into the Zoom room and one kit with the following that will ship to your door:

CHOCOLATE BABKA KIT INCLUDES:
Makes two loaves

• Bag A: Active Dry Yeast + Unrefined Sugar (0.5 lbs.)

• Bag B: All-purpose Flour + Kosher Salt (1.35 lbs.)

• Bag C: Cocoa Powder, Dark Chocolate Chips, Unrefined Sugar (0.72 lbs.)

• 2 Paper Compostable Loaf Pans

• 1 Wooden Rolling Pin

• 1 Bench Scraper

The deadline to order kits is February 1, 2023, at 11 am CST.

Note: 

• Masa Madre will provide a gluten-free recipe to anyone who purchases a General Admission ticket (the kit doesn’t come gluten-free, but you can make the modification).
• Masa Madre will provide a vegan recipe with substitutions for the egg and butter (the kit is vegan).

When you purchase a ticket, you get to: 

• Celebrate female friendship while learning to make chocolate babka.

• Support a Latina-owned business.

• Support girls as they learn to own their superpowers!

We think of it as a triple-win! Regardless of the ticket type you choose, you can add-on one of Masa Madre's super cute aprons. (The deadline to order aprons is February 1, 2023, at 11 am CST.)

Each ticket is split 50/50 between Girls on the Run-Chicago and Masa Madre. All of the money we raise will go toward providing program scholarships to girls in our Spring 2023 season, making our programming more equitable and accessible.
