Out of concern for the wellbeing of our donors, guests, and staff, tonight’s Gala for Green-Wood has been cancelled due to the poor air quality affecting New York. We did not make this decision lightly, and would love nothing more than to be able to gather with all of you. Ticket and table purchasers have been contacted. The Gala for Green-Wood is truly one of the most magical experiences in all of New York City. After the gates close to the public, you’ll enjoy a festive cocktail hour, a delicious, locally sourced dinner, dessert, music, and merriment. 

This year we are honored to present Spike Lee with Green-Wood’s DeWitt Clinton Award for Excellence, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the arts and to Brooklyn.

All proceeds support Green-Wood’s school programs, arts and cultural events, environmental and climate-change research, restoration training programs, and the many other ways we engage the 450,000 visitors we welcome to Green-Wood each year.

HOST COMMITTEE

We would love to include your name on our Host Committee! Pledges or donations must be received by May 24th to be listed on the evening's materials. Please see ticket levels for details on Host Committee acknowledgement.

ATTIRE 

Festive attire is welcomed! The gala will take place outdoors, so please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly. We recommend comfortable shoes suitable for traversing uneven terrain. 

TRANSPORTATION & ACCESSIBILITY

Guests will enter the Cemetery via the 25th Street Entrance. Other entrances will not be open. Subway: R to 25th Street. Driving: on-site parking will be very limited and valet service will not be available. Rideshare: cars should be directed to 25th Street & 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11232. Accessibility: The areas of the Cemetery used for this event are accessible. However, we welcome your specific questions about accessibility. Please contact hostcommittee@green-wood.com. 

OTHER DETAILS

All attendees must be 21+. In the unlikely event that weather conditions necessitate the full cancellation of the gala, all ticket purchases will be converted to fully tax-deductible donations. Tickets are not transferable to other events. 

The non-deductible amount is $175 per person.
