Join us August 13-31, 2022, for our second annual virtual walk - The Walk Home! Together let’s take action to break the cycle of homelessness in Greater Cleveland. 

We invite you to “walk a mile” in the shoes of the families we serve to help raise awareness for the daily challenges they face and offer hope in the knowledge that you are committed to taking a stand against homelessness in the Cuyahoga County.  

The money raised from our virtual walk allows The Haven Home to continue providing immediate support for women and their children with access to emergency shelter, basic needs, and asset-building programs such as art therapy and employment readiness workshops to help them heal as they move forward on their journeys toward sustainable independence.

In your registration confirmation email, you will receive an invitation to our outdoor family-friendly community launch on Saturday, August 13 from 2 – 4 p.m. at The Haven Home. Come pick up your t-shirt and swag bag, enjoy some snacks, play some games, meet our team, take a tour, and enter yourself into a drawing! 

Can’t make it to our in-person community launch? Here's how you can participate at your own pace: 

- Join us virtually anytime between August 13-31, 2022 by walking or running at your own pace with family, friends, neighbors or coworkers. 

• - Share with them that you are “walking a mile” in the shoes of the families at The Haven Home to gain insight into their personal journeys experiencing homelessness and transitioning to sustainable independence. 

• - Stay tuned to our social media channels to learn more about The Walk Home “walk a mile” challenge! 

If you would like to create a TEAM, you must register first. Once registered then click here, then click "I want to fundraise for this.” You will be given three options: 1) Join a team, 2) Create a team, and 3) Create my own page. Choose one and follow the prompts.

By purchasing a ticket, I hereby grant The Haven Home permission to interview myself and/or use my likeness in photograph(s)/video(s) in any and all of its publications and in any and all other media. 

COVID-19 RELEASE 

Please Note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people with underlying medical conditions and older adults are especially vulnerable. 

The staff and board of directors of The Haven Home are closely monitoring the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and have created all safety procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. However, I acknowledge and recognize the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk of exposure and/or infection that may result in injury, illness, disability, and/or death by participating in the in-person community launch.

I do hereby acknowledge that a virtual program has been offered by the Haven Home and by attending the in-person community launch, I do hereby waive, release, acquit, discharge, covenant not to sue and otherwise indemnify the Haven Home, its affiliates, assigns, officers, and successors, from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, loss, complaints or grievances, of whatever nature, known and unknown as a result of and/or arising from my participation at the in-person community launch.
