This Walk of Remembrance will take place to honor babies who have died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, neonatal or infant loss. Everyone is invited to come walk the steps our babies will never take, as we carry them with us in our hearts. 

Please arrive at the Sweet Gum Shelter of Palmetto Islands County Park between 9:00-9:45am for registration and allow yourself plenty of time for parking. Preceding the walk (at 10am) will be a brief memorial service with music, prayer, and readings. Each baby will be honored by having his or her name read aloud. Participants will then walk two miles* together along a paved trail surrounded by beautiful scenery. (*Participants will have the option to walk only one mile.)

Meaningful remembrance activities will be incorporated throughout the event.  Additionally, there will be children’s activities, a cash raffle, and food trucks available for participants to purchase lunch following the walk.  

All proceeds will go towards Count the Kicks and their mission to save babies in South Carolina. Count the Kicks is a public health campaign that teaches expectant parents to track their baby’s movements daily during the third trimester of pregnancy.  Healthy Birth Day, Inc. is the 501(3)(c) non-profit responsible for the Count the Kicks campaign.  Learn more at www.countthekicks.org.
