with your sweet fragrance: the wall is a preliminary look into the universe of with your sweet fragrance, focusing on human relationships and power dynamics. The full iteration of with your sweet fragrance will facilitate a visceral and tender experience that leads to a deeper awareness of humanity’s role within the climate crisis and activation towards both individual and collective climate reparations.

This preview represents a year of intense research and development including rehearsals, residencies, short films and dramaturgy workshops. Join us for our final performance of 2024!

ABOUT

Founded in 2016 by Artistic Director Katherine Maxwell, Hivewild is a contemporary movement platform based on the unceded land of the Lenapehoking People (Brooklyn, NY). Hivewild is dedicated to the presentation of formal, site-specific, and public works that ignite conversation and unlock emotion, rooted in the principles of radical inclusion and lifelong curiosity. Endemic to each Hivewild work, and the processes that create them, are strong senses of dignity, interconnectivity, and playfulness. Hivewild is an invitation to experience, feel, and be - embodying a broader bandwidth of what it means to be alive. Members of Hivewild seek to invest in their communities by actively engaging in cross-disciplinary collaboration and skill-sharing. Every human has a body, and the artists use this understanding as a starting point to identify connections and celebrate differences between people. Hivewild aims to use accessible performance work to engage a variety of viewers: artists, art enthusiasts, and those who have yet to experience contemporary dance work. @hivewild

Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. We welcome all types of private events, from weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties to art exhibits, performances, corporate functions, fundraisers and film shoots. The space encompasses a total of 10,000 square feet, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. For indoor events, we have an open warehouse space, a skylit indoor catering room, and a private mezzanine lounge. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of our space, created as a quiet retreat among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Carroll Hall and Dameron Architecture were awarded the 2022 AIA New York Design Award Citation for Reclaiming Urban Space. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. @carrollhallgarden
