Museum Anniversary Celebration

Celebrating 40 Years Incorporated & 25 Years in the Shipyard

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
Time: 6:30–9:00 PM
Location: Hoboken Historical Museum, 1301 Hudson Street, Hoboken, NJ

Join the Hoboken Historical Museum for a special evening celebrating two important milestones: 40 years since the Museum's incorporation in 1986 and 25 years in our Shipyard home!

We're marking the occasion with an intimate anniversary celebration bringing together Museum members, supporters, neighbors, and friends for an evening of food, wine, live music, and community.

Guests will enjoy a selection of food from Hoboken restaurants, a wine tasting experience included with admission, and live jazz performed by a local band. We'll also host a silent auction featuring special items and experiences, with proceeds supporting the Museum's exhibitions, educational programs, and ongoing efforts to preserve and share Hoboken's history.

The celebration will take place both inside the Museum and outdoors along our walkway, offering guests an opportunity to mingle, explore, and toast to four decades of Hoboken history.

Evening Highlights

  • Food from Hoboken Restaurants: Enjoy a selection of bites from local restaurants.
  • Wine Tasting: Sample a variety of wines, included with your ticket curated by Sparrow's Wine & Liquor.
  • Live Jazz: Enjoy music throughout the evening from a local jazz band.
  • Silent Auction: Bid on special items and experiences while supporting the Museum.
  • Indoor & Outdoor Celebration: Spend the evening with fellow Museum supporters and members of the Hoboken community.

Celebrating Our History

Since its incorporation in 1986, the Hoboken Historical Museum has worked to collect, preserve, and share the stories, photographs, artifacts, and traditions that make Hoboken unique.

This year also marks 25 years since the Museum established its home in the former Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, a fitting location that connects Hoboken's industrial past with its present-day community.

As we celebrate these milestones, we're also looking ahead to the next chapter of exhibitions, programs, and community initiatives.

We hope you'll join us for a toast to 40 years of preserving Hoboken's history and the many more stories still to come!
