This Fourth of July, experience a once-in-a-generation moment on the Hoboken waterfront.
Join the Hoboken Historical Museum for a special ticketed fundraiser on Pier 14 as New York Harbor becomes the stage for the Sail4th 250 Parade of Ships—a landmark international celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, also known as the nation's Semiquincentennial.
Inspired by the grand maritime celebrations of the 1976 Bicentennial, this historic event will bring together one of the largest international flotillas in modern history. Tall ships and naval vessels from around the world will sail up the Hudson River from the Verrazzano Bridge to the George Washington Bridge in a spectacular procession celebrating freedom, diplomacy, exploration, and global connection.
Guests on Pier 14 will enjoy one of Hoboken's most unique vantage points as dozens of historic vessels pass by throughout the morning and early afternoon. The Parade of Ships is currently scheduled to take place from approximately 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
While ticket holders are welcome to remain on the pier until 10:00 PM, the primary purpose of this event is viewing the Parade of Ships. We encourage guests to arrive in time to experience this extraordinary spectacle.

The Hoboken Historical Museum has partnered with Cornucopia Cruises to provide ticket holders with an additional viewing option during the Sail4th 250 Parade of Ships.
From 9:00 AM to 2:45 PM, attendees will have complimentary access to the rooftop deck of the Majesty, Cornucopia's largest vessel docked at Pier 14. This elevated vantage point offers another unique perspective of the parade as the ships make their way through New York Harbor.
Guests are welcome to bring their own folding chairs, food, and refreshments aboard. There is no additional charge to access the vessel, and attendees may move freely between Pier 14 and the Majesty throughout the day.
Please note that the rooftop deck is fully open-air with no overhead coverage. We encourage guests to dress appropriately and bring sun protection.
We thank Cornucopia Cruises for helping enhance the experience for our guests as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary on Hoboken's waterfront.
The fireworks are expected to begin around 9:00–9:15 PM near the Statue of Liberty.
This event is intended primarily for viewing the Parade of Ships, not the fireworks display. Due to the location of Pier 14 and expected sightlines, fireworks visibility will likely be minimal or nonexistent. Guests are welcome to remain on the pier until 10:00 PM, but we do not recommend planning your fireworks viewing from this location.
Due to the anticipated crowds attending Sail4th 250 events and the Fourth of July festivities, the City of Hoboken has issued a Gridlock Alert for July 4. Significant traffic delays are expected throughout the day and evening.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible.
If you plan to drive into Hoboken, please note the following:
We encourage all attendees to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to ensure a smooth arrival.
This event is a fundraiser supporting the Hoboken Historical Museum's mission to preserve and celebrate Hoboken's history through exhibitions, educational programs, and community events.
