To be determined
In the intricate tapestry of cancer journeys, one common thread binds us all: the emotional turbulence surrounding scans. At Home of Hope, we understand the mix of emotions that scanxiety brings, and we're here to offer support. We invite you to join our Scanxiety Support Group on January 18th, a safe space where understanding hearts converge.
Event Details:
Understanding Scanxiety: Scanxiety, a term born from the amalgamation of "scan" and "anxiety," encapsulates the stress and unease experienced by individuals awaiting or undergoing medical scans. Whether it's the anticipation of results or the fear of the unknown, these emotions can be overwhelming.
What to Expect:
Virtual Session (10 am): Our morning virtual session is designed to accommodate those who prefer the comfort of their homes. Log in from wherever you are, and let's navigate through these emotions together. It's a safe digital space to share, express, and connect with others who understand.
In-person Gathering (6 pm): For those who find solace in face-to-face interactions, our in-person gathering at Home of Hope provides a supportive environment. Surrounded by the warmth of our community, share your feelings, or simply be present to lend your support to others.
Why Attend:
Shared Understanding: Connect with individuals who comprehend the unique challenges associated with scanxiety. Share your experiences and listen to others who have walked similar paths.
Emotional Support: Our Scanxiety Support Group is not just about information; it's a lifeline of emotional support. Find encouragement, empathy, and a network of caring hearts.
Practical Coping Strategies: Hear from those who have navigated scanxiety successfully and discover practical coping strategies. Whether it's mindfulness techniques or relaxation exercises, gather tools to manage the emotional rollercoaster.
How to Join: Participating in our Scanxiety Support Group is simple. For the virtual session, a Zoom link will be shared with registered participants. If you're attending in person, just come to Home of Hope at 6 pm on January 18th.
