Join Hudson River Housing for an evening of fellowship on Friday, November 1st as we raise funds and awareness in support of Hudson River Housing's programs for the homeless. Gather with us for dinner, a silent auction, and an evening of inspiration as we work together to meet the needs of those less fortunate in our community. The Wind Chill Dinner serves as the kick off to a month of building awareness about homelessness, as we commemorate the start of Homelessness Awareness Month and the impending winter season.
This year we are thrilled to welcome Tommy Zurhellen as our Keynote Speaker. Tommy Zurhellen is the Commander at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 170 in Poughkeepsie and founder of the VetZero Project. As Associate Professor of English at Marist College, Tommy chose to use his sabbatical crossing the country in service to veterans. Join us as Tommy shares captivating images and stories from his journey which began in Portland, Oregon and ended in Poughkeepsie, New York, as he walked 2,860 miles across America to raise awareness of veteran homelessness.
