Each spring, Capitol Day brings hundreds of artists and arts advocates to Springfield to meet with legislators, participate in advocacy training, and connect with peers across Illinois. It’s a powerful demonstration of civic engagement, with artists, professionals, businesses, civic leaders, and organizations coming together to champion the indispensable role arts and culture plays in communities across Illinois.

In 2025, 150 advocates joined us in Springfield. This year, our goal is to double that number, gathering 300 voices to ensure the creative sector in Illinois is heard loud and clear by lawmakers.
