The 2026 Poetic Medicine Summit begins in April with keynote speakers John Fox, IPM founder; Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, Poet Laureate of Southwestern Colorado; and Amanda Johnston, 61st Poet Laureate of Texas.
This initial event and 12 subsequent monthly facilitated workshops and talks will offer space where participants will hear their own and others' inner wisdom, truth and beauty, and celebrate our common humanity.
Investment:
$250 Standard Bundled Pricing includes registration for all three April programs PLUS early registration access for subsequent monthly Summit 2026 programming (each event for the full year of Summit programs is included in bundled pricing, however some events may have limited livestream-attendance space due to the nature of the program provided and registration will be required for each program), and access to recordings for 30 days following the event.

Amanda Johnston is a writer, visual artist, and the 61st Texas Poet Laureate. Born in East St. Louis, IL, and raised in Austin, TX, she began writing poetry while living in Kentucky. Her writing is published widely, and she has presented at numerous literary conferences and events. She is a 2024 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow.
She is a former Board President of Cave Canem Foundation, a member of the Affrilachian Poets, cofounder of Black Poets Speak Out, and founder of Torch Literary Arts.
Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer lives with her husband and daughter in Placerville, Colorado, on the banks of the wild and undammed San Miguel River. She served as San Miguel County’s first poet laureate (2007-2011) and as Western Slope Poet Laureate (2015-2017) and was a finalist for Colorado Poet Laureate in 2019. Since 2024, she’s been poet laureate for Evermore.
Devoted to helping others explore creative practice, Rosemerry is co-host of Emerging Form, a podcast on creative process, host of The Poetic Path—a daily program on the Ritual app, cofounder of Secret Agents of Change (a surreptitious kindness cabal), and co-leader of Soul Writers Circle. She directed the Telluride Writers Guild for ten years and co-hosted Telluride’s Talking Gourds Poetry Club for another ten years.
John Fox, PPM - Practitioner of Poetic Medicine, is a poet, author, educator, and CEO of The Institute for Poetic Medicine (IPM), a nonprofit he founded in 2005. IPM brings poetic medicine programs and training to communities throughout the US and internationally.
