Join the Institute for Public Architecture on October 30th for the 2026 IPA Fellows' Halloween Party: Haunted [Block] House on Governors Island!

Did you know that the IPA Fellows are among the first to stay overnight on the Island since the Coast Guard’s exit in 1996? Have you heard their first hand accounts of buried histories and bumps in the night? Are you willing to listen...

Stop by the Block House to enjoy music, drinks, and a (Haunted) House Tour of the 183-year old Historic Block House (Building 9) with installations/activations by Beth Ferguson, Tosin Omojola, Gabriel Gonzalez Depalo, Really Not Really (Stephanie Lee Yeung and Hermano Luz Rodrigues), Susan Isawi, and Massimiliano Malagò.
