The Institute for Public Architecture (IPA) marks the culmination of the 2024 Fall Independent Project Residency program with its final Open Blockhouse program and exhibition at the historic IPA Block House on November 9, 2024.

1. This event is free and open to the public.

2. Tickets are not required for this event. Register to receive priority seating. Seating will be limited throughout the day for lectures and talks, with standing room available.

3. In-person talks, performances, and activations begin at 2pm. 

4. Be sure to catch the last public ferry at 4:15pm to catch the afternoon lectures at the Block House. Following the 4:15pm ferry from Manhattan there is no more public access to the Island. Departure ferries back to Manhattan run every 30 minutes. See ferry schedule and information here.

5:00PM - Superfluity: A Queer Architecture Intervention, interactive installation by Wil Natzel.
