Join us as we celebrate the voices and talents of folks who survived incarceration! The event will take place in several spaces within Mason Square.

Film screenings and panel discussions will be in the VanMetre Auditorium. 

Art by currently and previously incarcerated artists will be on display in the Gallery Room.

Community partners and sponsors, including business and organizations run by folks who survived incarceration will be in the VanMetre Multipurpose Room.

Noon - Welcome. Community Partners & Art displays open

12:05pm - Shorts by Directly Impacted Filmmakers

1:00pm - Calls From Home. Followed by panel discussion focusing on being the loved one of an incarcerated person.

2:15pm - Shorts on the Reentry Experience

3:00pm - Spoken Word performance

3:15pm - District of Second Chances. Followed by panel discussion featuring incarceration survivors.

4:55pm - Closing Remarks

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is ample pay parking in the area. We encourge those who are able to take the Metro to the Virginia Square/GMU station used by the Orange & Silver lines.
