Key Note Speaker Bio - Tara Madison
Tara Madison is a Survivor Mentor and Advocate with the Open Doors Outreach Network in the state of Florida, working with survivors of sex trafficking ages 12-24 in the juvenile justice system. Prior to working in US domestic sex trafficking, Tara worked with survivors in Cambodia, Haiti, and the Philippines with NGO Rapha House International. She is also a certified national victims advocate, who works with law enforcement agencies and homeland security, assisting survivors and creating educational content. She has trained over 1,000: medical, law enforcement, and government agencies employees since 2017, sharing her own story as a survivor of sex trafficking and complex trauma. She is currently completing an undergrad degree in Public Administration at Flagler College and will be attending Florida State University Law School in the fall of 2022 with a concentration in human rights and defense. Tara has also worked as a professional tattoo artist and studio owner for twenty-years, today she focuses on branding cover-ups and tattoo removal for sex trafficking survivors.
