October 27, 2021 marks the third anniversary of the murder of eleven Jews by a white supremacist at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA,. It was the worst anti-Semitic event in the history of the U.S. As a tribute to those killed and those who survived that dark day, Concert Nova Chamber Ensemble will premier the performance of Jacob Lindy’s Tree of Life Cantata. The concert will also include a quartet piece by Pavel Haas, a composer who was murdered during the Holocaust.

In light of ongoing concerns around the health and safety of our community, the Tree of Life Cantata will be presented as a high-quality virtual streamed experience on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021. November 9th marks the 83rd anniversary of Kristallnacht, 'the Night of Broken Glass', when thousands of anti-Jewish violent protests and vandalization took place across Europe, ultimately foreshadowing the devastating events and acts which would come to define the Holocaust.

Presented by the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, ish, the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, and Cincinnati Skirball Museum. Proudly sponsored by Jewish Cincinnati Bicentennial; Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati lead sponsors. Thank you to Congregation Beth Adam for their work in spearheading this community performance.
