Have you ever entered a coffee shop - looked around and noticed people lost in their thoughts and wondered "What are they thinking"?
Journey House's first arts initiative is a theater play that explores the inner worlds of its ensemble cast. You will encounter each of the ten characters through spoken word performances based on their real lives.
The event is a Virtual Premiere hybrid format with live and pre-recorded video elements. It is an immersive experience where the audience will be able to live chat with each other, and the writers, actors, and production team.
Doors open at 7:00 PM PT with a live DJ and turntables. At 7:30 PM the play will begin, which will run roughly sixty minutes. The night will finish with a 'Meet the Writers and Actors' live Q&A. This will be an emotional and powerful event that is sure to provide a deeper understanding of the challenges facing foster youth.
The play is lead and created by people with lived experiences in the foster care system.
