WORKSHOP - Writing the Backyard: How to capture a place in your poems
Note: Registration is limited to two workshops/panels
In this generative workshop, we'll look at classic examples of capturing a place in a poem and think about what makes a piece of place-based writing successful. How can you make your backyard interesting? What happens when you sit and really look and listen to what's around you? Nature writing will be our main inspiration, but we'll work to develop a keen eye for any setting.
