In this One-on-One Consultation with Robert Guinsler, Christina Morgan, Patrick Munnelly, or Ayla Zuraw-Friedland, you will submit and receive personalized feedback on a query letter related to your nonfiction manuscript. You may also submit up to five pages of your nonfiction manuscript to acquaint the agent of your choosing with the work your query letter centers.

Robert Guinsler has been with Sterling Lord Literistic, Inc. for more than twenty years. From the geopolitical mosaics of journalists Rania Abouzeid and Andrei Soldatov, to the impassioned memoirs of Kevin Sessums and Wendy Lawless and legendary gay rights activists Peter Staley and Cleve Jones, to the comedic collections of Phoebe Robinson, Michelle Buteau, Sarah Colonna, and Egypt's own Bassem Youssef, most every avenue of the nonfiction spectrum can be found on his list.

Christina Morgan is an agent at Serendipity Literary Agency and has held editorial positions at Amistad/HarperCollins and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. At Amistad  she was a part of a team that published a wide range of authors including Edward P. Jones, Steve Harvey, Karrine Steffans and many more. At Houghton Mifflin Harcourt she was privileged to work with many major international voices including Umberto Eco, Jose Saramago, Charles Simic and others.

Patrick Munnelly is a Literary Agent for the Bond Literary Agency where he represents primarily LGBTQ+ works and authors, but also works of fantasy. He is actively acquiring literary fiction and nonfiction/memoir for LGBTQ works.

Ayla Zuraw-Friedland joined the David Black Agency in 2019. She is interested in literary fiction and nonfiction that inspects queer experiences and narratives, and would love to see pitches from BIPOC and disabled writers from a diversity of backgrounds. Her current clients include Jamie Hood (HOW TO BE A GOOD GIRL, Grieveland 2020), Haley Jakobsen, Ross Showalter, Aimee Keeble, Margaret Lee, Sarah Hartshorne, and others.

Partial scholarships are available. Please contact Nicole Shawan Junior at NJunior@lambdaliterary.org for more information.
