On behalf of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)-West, we invite you to join us for the 42nd Annual LMSA-West Regional Conference, Still We Rise: Unidos en la Lucha por Nuestra Salud, on March 6th and 7th, 2026 hosted at UC Davis School of Medicine.

This year’s conference highlights the fight for health equity across the West, with particular attention to the Northern regions, where physician shortages and systemic disparities remain stark. Sacramento provides a powerful backdrop for these conversations, bringing together students and advocates committed to transforming healthcare. Our conference serves as a platform to inspire Latinx pre-medical students to pursue healthcare careers and provide current medical students with further career development and leadership training.

We anticipate to welcome over 400 pre-medical and medical students. This year, we expanded the times of our exhibitor fair to encompass the student workshops before and after lunch to give exhibitors more time to interact with our talented students. This is only one of the highlights of our conference, with an overview provided below. A more detailed, tentative program can be found on our prospectus.

Highlights of the event include:

Evening of Friday, March 6, 2026

Regional Policy Summit | Pre-medical Student Research Symposium | Medical Students & Physicians Networking Night

Day of Saturday, March 7, 2026
