The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa, in partnership with Magic City Books, invites you to attend our special event highlighting Lindsey Cormack, Ph.D., author of “How to Raise a Citizen (And Why It’s Up to You to Do It)”. Dr. Cormack will present an easy-to-understand approach about political issues and the inner workings of the U.S. government. Improve your civic understanding to empower yourself and strengthen our democracy.  Copies of Dr. Cormack’s book will be available for purchase at this event.

Speaker Information
Lindsey Cormack, PhD
, is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ and the Director of the DCinbox. She has authored two books, How to Raise a Citizen (And Why it's Up to You to Do It) and Congress and U.S. Veterans: From the GI Bill to the VA Crisis. She currently serves as the Secretary for Manhattan Community Board 8.

Her research has been published in Political Behavior, Congress & the Presidency, American Politics Research, and The Legislative Scholar, (among many others) as well as in popular outlets including the New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News, The Hill, FOX, and more.
