Join Maestra Music for Amplify 2021 - our inaugural spring concert bringing together Maestra friends and family from around the world for pre and post show festivities and a broadcast that will raise money and highlight Maestra's programs which provide support, visibility, and community for the female, non-binary, and TGNC music makers in the theater industry. The concert will feature stories, conversations, and musical performances from some of our favorite “Maestras” from Broadway and beyond.


Amplify 2021 begins at 8:00pm is free to attend with donations encouraged, and higher level contributors will have exclusive opportunities to connect with Broadway stars and creators after the concert. You must be registered in order to attend. An access link will be sent to you prior to the show.


Produced and directed by Tony Award-nominee Kate Baldwin and hosted by Tony Award nominee Brooks Ashmanskas and Drama Desk Award winner Andrea Burns, the evening will include performances from Ashley Park, Nikki M. James, Brandon Victor Dixon, Tanya Birl, Kenita Miller, Shelley Thomas, Eva Noblezada, and Reeve Carney, along with appearances from Anais Mitchell (Tony Award-winning creator of Hadestown), Kirsten Childs (OBIE Award-winning creator of Bubbly Black Girl), Helen Park (Lortel Award-winning creator of KPOP), Rona Siddiqui (Larson Award-winning creator of Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan), Britt Bonney, Kristy Norter, Dionne McClain-Freeney, Meg Zervoulis, Kat Sherrell, Nicole Rebolledo, Maestra founder Georgia Stitt, and a special appearance by Bernadette Peters. Shoshana Bean will sing an original song with music, lyrics and orchestrations by Maestra member Lynne Shankel (Allegiance) for the finale of the event. The number, titled “Amplify” and written for the occasion, will feature Cynthia Meng (Company) on piano, Michelle Osbourne (Six) on bass, Rosa Avila (Summer: The Donna Summer Musical) on drums, Meg Toohey (Waitress) on guitar, Yuri Yamashita (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) on percussion, Alexa Tarantino (Sweet Charity) on alto sax, Kristy Norter (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) on tenor sax, Jami Dauber (Honeymoon in Vegas) and Chloe Rowlands (The Westerlies) on trumpet, Sara Jacovino (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) on trombone, Claudia Chopek (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), and Mazz Swift (Tootsie) on violin, Monica Davis (Hamilton) on viola, Adele Stein (Dear Evan Hansenon cello, Meg Zervoulis (The Prom), and Julie McBride (SpongeBob SquarePants) on organ. The song is mixed and produced by Michael Croiter for Yellow Sound Lab, with sound engineering by Julianne B. Merrill.


The evening’s Music Directors and Arrangers include
Helen Park, Rona Siddiqui, Annastasia Victory, and Julianne B. Merrill, who also serves as Technical Director.


Join us in the virtual venue any time before the show between 7:00 and 8:00pm for a chance to connect with other audience members and learn more about Maestra, and after the show from 9:00 to 10:00pm. 


In special post-show virtual hangouts, higher level contributors will have opportunities to join exclusive camera-on conversations with Broadway stars including Gavin Creel & Celia Keenan-Bolger; “Chers” Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks & Micaela Diamond; Chaplin co-stars Jenn Colella & Rob McClure; Book of Mormon original stars Nikki M. James & Michael James Scott; Mean Girls Ashley Park & Erika Henningsen; and The Prom stars Caitlin Kinnunen & Isabelle McCalla. $50 and $250 tickets will only be on sale until 3:00pm on Monday, March 29th. A link to submit your room selection will be included in your receipt. All selections must be made by 3:00pm on Monday, March 29th.
