Everyone is invited to walk to support innovative education opportunities for Merrillville Community School students.

The Merrillville Education Foundation (MEF) will hold its sixth annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023. Participants in the “Better Health, Better Minds” event will walk to raise funds for MEF teacher grants.

The walk kicks off at 9 a.m., but registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event will be held at the soccer/track and field area of the Merrillville High School campus, 276 East 68th Pl. In case of rain, participants will walk in MHS Field House.

Waiver and Release: I acknowledge that my participation in the Merrillville Education Foundation Walk-a-thon may involve a risk of injury, including bodily injury, and assume the risk for same. On my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs and legal representatives and to the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release and discharge Merrillville Education Foundation and the Merrillville Community School Corporation and their respective directors, officers, board of trustees, members, agents and representatives, of and from any and all liability for injury, death, or damages and/or any other claims, demands, losses or damages, incurred by me in connection with any aspect of the Walk-A-Thon.
