Join us to explore Practical Principles and Practices for SMART Governing Bodies. This interactive 90-minute session will engage NGO leaders and board members to better understand the value of, and tools for, wise structures and strategies for board work that enables and empowers NGO entities engaged in serving the health and social welfare needs of people and communities in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) of Asia, Latin America and Africa.

As a follow-up to the event, attendees will receive access to five short recorded sessions to be used in NGO board meetings or retreats to enhance the effectiveness of their governance model, and hence the impact of their NGO mission and organizational vitality.

Facilitator: Jim Rice, PhD, LFACHE is Senior Adviser with the Governance & Leadership service line of Gallagher’s Human Resources & Compensation Consulting practice. He focuses his consulting work on strategic governance structures and systems for high performing, tax-exempt nonprofit, urban and rural credit unions, nonprofit social welfare organizations, rural Critical Access Hospitals in several states, and large hospitals and integrated care systems; visioning for large and small not-for-profit organizations; and leadership development for Physicians, Boards and C-Suite Senior Leaders.
