The Junior Rehabilitator Workshop is a one-day, hands-on program introducing youth (ages 11-14) to the fundamentals of wildlife rehabilitation. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at how injured and orphaned birds are assessed and cared for.

Students learn the basics of patient intake, safety, and bird first aid, then rotate through supervised skill-building stations that simulate real rehabilitation tasks — such as practicing fluid administration techniques, reviewing radiographs, and learning wing support methods. The day concludes with an interactive introduction to live educational birds, highlighting the adaptations and conservation needs of raptors and songbirds.
