Momentum WORK, Inc. is proud to present its 2^nd Annual "Fun in the Sun" Walk & Roll for Inclusion Awareness event at Chase Palm Park Great Meadow on Saturday, March 16, 2024! We invite you, your family, and your business to join our mission to eliminate access barriers for individuals with disabilities and support us in ensuring that every part of the community is accessible to every citizen.

Proceeds from event sponsorships and registration stay local and go directly toward improving our Inclusive Workforce Programs that provide valuable work training and job placement for people with disabilities in our community. Your support will help the individuals we care for reach their fullest potential and connect people with employers to grow and advance in their careers. WILL YOU JOIN US?

Event Schedule:

• Check-In begins at 9:30AM. Participants that are pre-registered or late-registration are asked to check-in at the "Registration Booth" to pick up your complimentary t-shirt and goody bag and sign a release of liability waiver (if you haven't already signed via DocuSign).

• Children must be registered, and a waiver signed by their guardian to participate.

• Service dogs are welcome to attend, but please leave other pets at home.

• Walk & Roll begins at 10:30AM.

• Join friends for food truck, music, and resource booths back at the park from 11:30AM-12Noon.

Walk & Roll Route:

1.3-mile loop starting from Chase Palm Park Great Meadow, through Chase Palm Park Carousel House area, over to the beachside of E. Cabrillo Blvd. at Garden Street crosswalk, down to Milpas Street crosswalk, and back to finish at Chase Palm Park.

What to Wear:

The waterfront area may be chilly this time of year, especially in the morning, please wear a light jacket and tennis shoes.

Food & Beverage:

Chiltepin Mexican Grill food truck will be available to purchase lunch; they take most major credit or debit cards. Light snacks and water bottles will be distributed at the time of check-in and available for the entire event.

Public Event Parking:

• Garden Street Parking Lot (near the Visitor Center).

• Palm Park Parking Lot (near the skatepark).

• Street Parking along the beachside of E. Cabrillo Blvd. (2-hour limit).

• Please do not park in the small parking lot at Shipwreck Playground (this is reserved parking only).

Onsite Accommodations:

• Momentum Refresh mobile adaptive restrooms.

• Accessible 1.3-mile walk and roll route that is mostly paved, some of it is packed dirt path near the Carousel House. 

• Free giveaways at resource booths.

• First-Aid emergency support.

• For sensory concerns, there will be amplified music and speakers during the event.

As walk and roll safety is paramount, Momentum WORK, Inc., reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of their control such as extreme weather conditions or other emergencies as determined by event management. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.
