Get your friends, family, and co-workers together for a fun virtual gingerbread house building competition supporting The C.A.R.E Group (Moore Buddies Mentoring & Moore County Literacy Council! The Bakehouse is creating basic gingerbread house kits for participants to pick up and begin building. There's just one catch...you have to fundraise to get your decorations! For every $20 you raise, we will add another decorating element to your list! You can only decorate with the items you gain from fundraising! 

Timeline:

November 1st-November 7th: Groups register to participate (Kids, Family, Adults, Businesses). You can start fundraising as soon as you get your team page link!

November 1st-November 14th: The Fundraising Begins for Decorations! For every $20 you raise on your team's fundraising page, you get another candy element to decorate with! (We will help you create a team fundraising page that you can share on social media. All money raised on your page goes towards your decorations.)

November 18th & November 19th: We will list our places and times for kit pickup. This will include your gingerbread house along with the decorations that you earned through fundraising. *You may only decorate with the items you earned through fundraising (that’s what makes it interesting!)   

November 18th-November 27th: Start Creating! As soon as you pick up your kits, start decorating! Remember that the icing usually needs some time to set, so plan ahead! Take pictures and videos to share with those who donated and us! Grab your favorite shot of your completed gingerbread house and send it to us to post for online voting! You have until 11pm Saturday, November 27th to share your pictures (videos are fun too!) with us to be included in the voting!

November 29th-December 3rd: Online Voting Begins! We will post a picture of your finished gingerbread house on social media to see who gets the most votes in your group! The top 3 in each category will go on to the finals at Christmas in the Pines! 

December 9th: The top 3 finalists in each category will bring their Gingerbread Houses to the Christmas in the Pines: Winter Wonderland event at Rubicon Farm to be judged on site and winners will be announced at the end of the event. The winner of each group will get a Holiday Goodie Basket and a Nailed It! Trophy to be displayed on their mantle for all to see!
