On February 19, join n+1 for a celebration of Sophie Pinkham’s The Oak and the Larch, a cultural and environmental history that reveals how forests have made and resisted Russia’s many empires.

Pinkham will discuss the book, which is out now from Norton, with n+1 founding editor Keith Gessen. Copies of The Oak and the Larch will be for sale, along with beer and wine.

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. The n+1 office is wheelchair accessible.
