Write It Out! (WIO!) is a writing organization that centers people living with HIV and AIDS. This event marks both our 6th year anniversary of the WIO! program and the kick-off of our first major fundraising campaign!
The purpose of the celebration is to:
Celebrate the voices and humanity of WIO! participants!
Launch our inaugural campaign October - December to raise $130,000 for program expansion.
To celebrate, support, and uplift our WIO! Program alumni, with a live staged reading of Bridgette Picou's "not to be an alarmist, but"
Honor our community of artists, supporters, and donors.
Engage potential high-profile partners and supporters through storytelling and celebration.
Raise $27,500 (40% of campaign goal from this event)
Did You Know? It costs $67,722 just to support the 10-week program for our cohort of writers, and to fund our Final Sharing event and $10,000 cash prize + its reading — which includes casting actors, hiring stage managers and directors, and producing the staged event.
Can’t join us in-person? We will be live streaming the event! Purchase live-stream tickets using the link above.
Whether in the room or tuning in online, you’ll experience the transformative impact of storytelling and join us in uplifting artists living with HIV and AIDS. Together, let’s build the future of Write It Out!
