TASTES & SOUNDS OF ITALY

You are invited to join us as we travel through six regions of Italy enjoying small plates compliments of La Salumina, paired beverages by Upstream Wine & Spirits, and music by SCCO Musicians.

Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the Jefferonville Bake Shop in Jeffersonville, NY. 

Join us for delicious small plates, fine wine, and exceptional music as we celebrate the diverse regions of Italy at our upcoming fundraiser event.

The event will feature a six-course aperitivo, with each small plate highlighting a unique region of Italy. La Salumina will prepare a selection of traditional dishes from Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, Liguria, and  Campania ,and Jeffersonville Bakeshop will prepare a dessert from Veneto.

For Lombardy, guests will enjoy the delicious combination of Taleggio cheese and Mostarda. Emilia-Romagna will be represented with Torta di erbetta, a classic savory pie. Tuscany will offer a hearty Zuppa di fagiole, a traditional Tuscan bean soup. Liguria will present Trofie with Pesto, a dish made with hand-rolled pasta and fresh basil pesto. Campania will delight guests with Eggplant Parmigiana, and Veneto will round out the meal with the classic Italian dessert, Tiramisu.

To complement the flavors of the cuisine, Upstream Wine and Spirits have curated a selection of Italian wines from each region. 

The evening will be accompanied by the soulful melodies of Italian music, performed by the talented Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra musicians. Guests will be transported to the streets of Rome, the piazzas of Venice, and the hills of Tuscany through the magical sounds of the mandolin, accordion, and guitar.
