Celebrate Health and Wellness at Port Barrington with Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault (Northwest CASA).
Get your body moving with restorative yoga on the riverbank, paddling the Fox River in your kayak or canoe, and learn from local wellness pop-ups on how to heal your mind and body.
Every year, Northwest CASA serves hundreds of McHenry residents who have experienced sexual harm. In partnership with McHenry hospitals, police departments, and judicial courts, Northwest CASA provides a 24-hour crisis hotline, medical advocacy in three hospitals, legal advocacy within all municipalities, and counseling; ALL of these services are free of charge to the survivors and their families.
8:30 a.m.- Registration and breakfast at Fox River Forest Preserve, Pavilion B (28500 W. Robert Rd. Port Barrington, IL 60010).
Yoga begins at 9:00 a.m.
Kayak and Canoe launch 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Wellness pop-ups 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
A limited number of Kayaks will be available to rent.
We strongly suggest you provide your own kayak or canoe, if possible.
Lifejackets and whistles are required while particpating in this event. Whistles will be provided by Northwest CASA at registration.
For those participating in a 5-mile route, Lions Park will
be the docking location.
For those kayaking more than 5 miles please note their are bathrooms located at Lions Park.
For those renting a kayak please complete your trip at Lions Park.
